Shaping Cinematic Story

Internationally renowned film practitioner Molly Malene Stensgaard comes to India to offer a Master Class illustrated by work from her own filmography and coupled with other relevant works. The session will begin with a special screening of Lars Von Trier’s Melancholia a major award winning film significant to the Speakers body of work.

Molly will share her course of working with Lars Von Trier as a key collaborator in his narrative process. Von Trier is known for shooting with multiple cameras and is intensively involved in shaping his material with his editor.

Molly will introduce some of her significant work as one of the practitioners in the Dogma movement. She was the editor of The Idiots and The Kingdom where she perfected and defined the technique of time cutting. Molly will conduct her Master class At the NFDC preview theatre, in the planetarium building.
